Blue Zones Meal Prep Club

In our Blue Zones Meal Prep Club, we will prepare a variety of dishes together that promote health and longevity from each of these incredible culinary regions. This is our third Blue Zone Meal Prep and will be an entirely new menu for those who have taken it before. There are five locations in the world called the "blue zones" where people were originally reported to live longer, healthier lives: Okinawa, Japan; Sardinia, Italy; Nicoya, Costa Rica; Ikaria, Greece; and Loma Linda, California. Research has shown that there are commonalities across all five places - including a focus on a whole foods, plant-based diet, and an emphasis on community. In our Blue Zones Meal Prep Club, we will prepare a variety of dishes together that promote health and longevity from each of these incredible culinary regions. Mama Jean is a whole food kitchen offering homemade goodness. Seasonal ingredients are sourced from local businesses and farms whenever possible, and from Jessica's own organic herb and flower garden here in Melrose. Specialties include gluten-free, plant-based/vegan, paleo, dairy-free, and allergy-friendly delights. Menu: Black Eyed Pea Salad with Mint and Scallions (Ikaria) 🌿 Mixed Vegetable Cassola with Mediterranean Herbs (Sardinia) 🌿 Minestra di Fagioli (Sardinian White Bean and Barley Soup) 🌿 Plant-Based Corn Muffins (Loma Linda, CA) 🌿 Black Bean, Potato, and Chayote Stew (Nicoya, Costa Rica) We will also sample Purple Sweet Potato Bites and Foamy Golden Milk (Okinawa) during class.

Payments for classes and dinners at The Kitchen are non-refundable. If you find yourself unable to attend, you may transfer the ticket to someone else. However we are unable to refund fees and all payments are final.
