The Melrose Commission on Women (MCW) is sponsoring EmpowerHER – Girls Stir Change, bringing together The Kitchen and RESPOND for a hands-on cooking-for-a-cause program that gives local teen girls an opportunity to learn, connect and give back.
The event will take place on Tuesday, November 10 from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at The Kitchen in Melrose and is open to teenage girls. MCW is covering the cost of the program, including dinner and refreshments, ingredients, cooking instruction and packaging. Participation is free, but registration is required to secure a spot. If you are unable to make it, please let us know so we can fill the spot with another registrant.
During the evening, girls will work with a professional chef to prepare and package meals for RESPOND, which supports survivors of domestic violence and their families throughout Eastern Massachusetts.
