Summer Program: Theme Park Inspired Dishes for Teens 12+ (August 14-18)

The kitchen is excited to introduce our summer program for Teens (ages 12+). The theme for this week "Theme Park inspried dishes. Teens will work independentaly and in teams. This program teaches culinary basics and provides lots of hands on baking and cooking!  An example  menu for a day is Epcot: Jumbo Pretzels with Cheese Dip from Germany’s Food Stand; Beef Teriyaki with Fried Rice from Japan’s Katsura Grill; Chocolate and Red Berries Crépe from France’s Crêpes de Chefs de France. Every day we will have a savory and a sweet!

 At the Kitchen we aim to use fresh in season ingredients and will tailor the menu to what's growing locally! This particular baking week is not suitable for students with gluten, egg, or dairy allergies.  All the classes are taught by Chef Colby.  11 year olds can participate in the class if they are able to focus and follow instructions.
